Meet Our Instructors

Joleen New, P.T.,Pilates Instructor, PMA-CPT

Interests

I did one of my last clinical rotations in Denver and fell in love with the scenery and the lifestyle.  I love the Colorado outdoors and enjoy hiking, running, skiing and spending time with my husband and two young children.

About Me

I grew up in Illinois and always loved being outdoors and playing sports.  I had a personal experience with physical therapy when I was young and it made a big impression on me. I have focused on outpatient therapy and home health care settings, where I had the opportunity to use Pilates equipment in the rehab setting.  I quickly realized that Pilates is an amazing way to improve body awareness, posture and precision. These principles can help everyone from daily activities to high level sports.  I have extensive continuing education in manual therapy of the spine and extremities, Pilates, core stabilization and neuromuscular re-education.  I have been a clinical instructor to multiple physical therapy students.  I became a certified wellness coach (CWC) in 2013, which has helped me to improve with specific goal setting and getting to the root of what is really important to my clients.

Interests

I discovered Park Meadows Pilates and Physical Therapy through the Pilates educational training opportunities and, right from the start, I fell in love with the studio and the model of care that incorporates physical therapy and Pilates together. I have a passion for providing quality care, treating the whole person, and spending enough time with clients to ensure goals are met.  In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, eating what I cook, spending time with my husband, traveling, and anything to do with science fiction..

About Me

I obtained my doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. I have worked in a variety of outpatient clinical environments and have always felt that the best outcomes and satisfaction happen when clients receive one on one care that is catered to each person’s specific needs and goals.  When I first meet you, I will take the time to listen to your story and to also perform a complete full body assessment to determine how I can best lead you on your path to recovery and wellness.  I have a high level of personal and professional interest in the study of Pilates and have personally found that Pilates movement is an amazing way to feel good and help our bodies move better.  I have developed my professional skills with continuing education in pelvic floor rehabilitation, running gait analysis, and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).  I look forward to working with you!

About Me

I was born and raised in North Dakota, and after completing my final clinical rotation in Colorado Springs, I decided to move to Colorado.  I became interested in the field of physical therapy after a sports injury while in high school.  I have focused on manual therapy techniques, pelvic floor rehabilitation and core stabilization in my continuing education classes.  I feel very strongly that if you understand how your body works you can not only better rehabilitate after an injury, but also ensure your body achieves its greatest potential.  I believe in using Pilates to improve self-awareness and posture which in turn will give you the ability to control dynamic movements.  I have been a clinical instructor to multiple students  in their last year of therapy school and enjoy being able to be a part of their learning process.

Amber Paterson, Pilates Instructor

Interests

In my free time, I  pursue bicycling, running, hiking and other outdoor adventures in Colorado.

About Me

I live two lives: One as a small business and environmental attorney, and the other as a movement-loving Pilates instructor. It may seem an odd combination, but the pursuit of physical strength and environmental health compliment each other, and have allowed me to carve out a lifestyle that is just the right fit for my adventurous personality. With a background in dance and movement, my introduction to Pilates came over 20 years ago as a way to improve my dance skills.  I taught beginner through advanced levels of dance for over 6 years before pursuing formal Pilates training through Balanced Body Education.

Ashley Campanella, Pilates Instructor, PMA-CPT

Interests

Outside of the studio, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling with my husband, Chanse.

About Me

Although I wasn’t born in Colorado, my family moved here when I was only two months old so I consider myself a native.  I grew up with the Colorado passion for a healthy and active lifestyle. I was first introduced to Pilates while working at an athletic club. I enjoyed the exercises and the difference it made in my body, but it wasn’t until a car accident that I saw the healing benefits of Pilates. It was then I realized that Pilates isn’t just a form of exercise but also a way to rehab from past injuries and to find balance in order to avoid future injuries. I have found my passion in Pilates and am thrilled to work at Park Meadows Pilates & Physical Therapy.
